About Geraldine Bavastock

I am an experienced BHS Accredited Coach with a wealth of knowledge on all things equestrian from equitation to the all round care of our horses. I am a BHSAI, Intermediate Stable Manager, UKCC, Challenge Award Trainer and I am the current Chief Instructor of Whaddon Chase Pony Club. I have also worked for a leading equine feed company and am trained in nutrition.

Having been brought up around horses from an early age, I was a proud member of Herts Hunt Pony Club. I represented my branch in all disciplines from Mounted Games, Eventing, Show Jumping and Dressage. Not coming from a wealthy family meant I always had those slightly difficult ponies which has given me the knowledge and skill set on how to get the best from every horse. In later years I have specialised in dressage, successfully competing at BD Areas and Regional competitions on my home produced horses

I believe in setting correct foundations and establishing effective ridersI am patient, sympathetic and always bring good humour to a session. I pride myself on being able to empower my learners with the knowledge they need in order to be able to ride effectively even when I am not there to guide them.

Holding the BHS Intermediate Stable Managers qualification means I can advise on all Stable Management issues and queries. I have successfully trained students through Pony Club tests and BHS stages 1 - 3
